Abstract

Environmental factors affecting the medicinal plant Kelussia odoratissima must be managed using various tools to eliminate the environmental shortcomings and damage associated with conventional farming, while still achieving the goal of agronomy: maximizing medicinal-plant yield. Currently, ecological methods should be used in appropriate proportions in mountain celery cultivation so that the farm becomes an ecological model. For instance, organic and animal manures should meet the nutritional needs of mountain celery. Pest and weed control for this medicinal plant should use biological and mechanical methods, thereby establishing the field as an ideal model of agroecology and sustainable agriculture within the region. Because of its diverse applications, mountain celery requires processing such as drying, packaging, pulverizing, and extracting essential oils and other extracts. Establishing a structured approach to developing downstream processing industries, including producing pickles and powders for use in dairy products, can help mitigate production and economic risks associated with this crop in the region.
